Role Description The Field Sales Engineer - South Carolina is a full-time hybrid role based in South Carolina, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for managing and growing sales across South Carolina by promoting electrical products to distributors, contractors, engineers, and end users. Day-to-day activities include visiting customer sites, conducting product presentations and trainings, and providing technical support to help customers select appropriate solutions. The position involves developing sales strategies, preparing quotes, tracking opportunities, and maintaining detailed account records. The Field Sales Engineer collaborates with internal teams and manufacturers, attends industry events as needed, and regularly reports on territory performance and market trends.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills to effectively understand products and support customer applications.
- Candidates should possess solid Sales and Sales Management skills to drive territory growth and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Candidates should possess robust Account Management skills to build relationships, retain customers, and expand business with key accounts.
- Relevant experience in manufacturer representation, distribution, or electrical products is beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities are important.
- Ability to travel within South Carolina and periodically to Charlotte NC is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
