As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Landlord Attorney to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact litigation and advisory matters involving landlord-tenant disputes, fair housing, affordable housing, rent control, and other real estate-related issues. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, litigate in California courts, and counsel clients on a wide array of property management issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Litigate unlawful detainer actions, lease disputes, and other real estate matters from inception through trial in California courts.
• Handle matters related to rent control, affordable housing compliance, and fair housing regulations.
• Conduct legal research, draft lease violation notices, pleadings, motions, discovery, and pre-trial documents.
• Advise clients during phone consultations and written communications, providing strategic and solution-oriented guidance.
• Respond promptly to client concerns to maintain and grow strong business relationships.
Qualifications:
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the California Bar.
• Excellent oral advocacy, legal research, and writing skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to work with clients and colleagues from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with rent control, affordable housing, and fair housing laws.
• Jury trial experience or equivalent tribunal litigation background.
• Passion for real estate law and interest in landlord-side advocacy.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, exempt. Business hours are Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
