About this role
PKL Services Inc. provides F-35C organizational level (“O” Level) maintenance in support of VFA-125, the F-35C Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) at Naval Air Station Lemoore, California.
As the Aircraft Worker in the flight line division, you will make repairs to aircraft following orders of higher-grade worker in accordance with NAVAIR maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Other responsibilities include:
- May pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed, and services engines and aircraft components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul required to keep aircraft safe operating condition.
- Shall make repairs to aircraft following orders of higher-grade worker in accordance with NAVAIR maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Shall assist in troubleshooting malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit (APU), and ventilation and heating systems, removes cleans, reinstalls, or replaces defective parts, accessories, and components such as worn gaskets, couplings, and fittings, bad actuators, accumulators, gauges, sections of corroded fuel and oil lines.
- Workers may supervise the jacking and lowering of aircraft, adjusts and settings such as cable tension and seat movements settings and adjustments.
- Ensure all work is performed strictly in accordance with published Instructions/Manuals and Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations.
- Perform all other contractual requirements per Performance Work Statement of contract No: FA8108-17-D-0001, Task Order No: FA8108-21-F-0013 (“O” Level Maintenance Support at VFA-125).
- Must be able to attain all qualifications during the 90-day probationary period.
- Must be available to work any of the three rotating shifts assigned.
- Any and all other duties as directed by Aircraft Site Supervisor.

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- A minimum of three (3) years of aviation maintenance experience.
- Contractor personnel shall be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check Local Records and Credit (NACLC) or Access National Agency Check with written Inquiries (ANACI), eligibility for a SECRET clearance.
- Shall be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC) card privileges to ensure access to flight line workspaces and critical information systems.
- Will possess knowledge of the learning process and how to transfer technical knowledge to less qualified personnel, including the ability to express thoughts in both oral and written communications.
- Shall perform requirements in a manner that meet or exceeds CNAFINST 4790.2 series, applicable Naval Aviation Maintenance Program Standard Operating Procedure (NAMPSOPs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs) and local NAMSOP instructions.
- Shall become familiar and develop a thorough understanding of document maintenance utilizing the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Information System (NALCOMIS) OOMA, automated maintenance documentation system within ninety (90) days of employment.

- This is a non-exempt position.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Will traverse into high noise workshop areas or near active jet aircraft operating ramps.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key).
- This position requires normal physical functions. Work may require frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
- May frequently lift and carry items weighing up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift heavier items with the assistance of other workers.
- May be exposed at times to moderate discomforts such as heat, cold, rain, wind.
