We are currently seeking a Paraprofessional to join our Business Solutions Group. The BSG group provides entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses accounting, tax and advisory support. From taxation issues and mandatory accounting needs, our expertise can make a substantial difference to entrepreneurs striving to expand their business to a new level and ensure continued success for the next generation. 

The individual will be responsible for providing a timely, high-quality and accurate work product and will also be expected to demonstrate professionalism at all times to deliver client service excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties: 

• Provide superb client service through interaction with clients and their staff, including on-site visits.
• Ability to multi-task and work within a group.
• Maintain general ledgers including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements, journal entries, month-end and year-end close.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Accounting for fixed assets and depreciation.
• Preparation of payroll and sales tax returns.
• Preparation of property tax forms/returns.
• Preparation of 1099 and W-2 filings.
• Special projects and reports.

Qualifications: 

• 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping or general staff accountant role.
• CPA firm experience a plus. 
• Payroll and sales tax return preparation experience a required.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Demonstrate professionalism and deliver excellent client service.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and pleasant, positive demeanor.
• Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
• Significant working experience with QuickBooks, Word and Excel required.
• Knowledge of other accounting software (e.g., Sage) a plus.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables.
• Must have access to a car and be willing to travel locally to clients when required.
