Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, floor care, and guest room maintenance
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and hospitality standards
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure availability and proper usage
- Implement efficient cleaning schedules and workflows to maximize productivity while maintaining quality
- Address guest requests or concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to janitorial and industrial cleaning practices
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching or corrective feedback as needed
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices is a plus
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Familiarity with hotel operations and customer service standards
- Ability to perform janitorial tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
