POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) will report to Executive Leadership / Project Executive and is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, technically complex civil and electrical infrastructure projects and must have both Civil and Electrical Construction experience. The SPM provides leadership across all phases of project execution—preconstruction, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
· Lead full lifecycle project management for heavy civil and electrical infrastructure projects.
· Establish and maintain project budgets, schedules, cost controls, and performance KPIs.
· Drive coordination between engineering, field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with specs, standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Oversee documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress tracking.
Team & Stakeholder Management· Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight for project teams.
· Coordinate with client reps, resident engineers, regulatory agencies, and utilities.
· Maintain strong communication and proactive issue resolution.
Financial & Risk Management· Develop and manage budgets, forecasting, and reporting.
· Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
· Evaluate change orders, claims, and support negotiation.
· Ensure safety, quality, and corporate compliance.
Procurement & Contract Administration· Support bid preparation, takeoffs, and scope development.
· Manage subcontractor performance and contract compliance.
· Support value engineering and design-build coordination.
Quality, Safety & Compliance· Enforce safety excellence.
· Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.
· Maintain QA/QC standards.
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
· 10 years of project management experience in heavy civil, electrical, or water/wastewater construction.
· Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
· Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
· Understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contracts, and budgeting.
Preferred· Professional Engineer (PE) license.
· DBIA certification or design-build experience.
· Public agency experience (DEP, DOT, MTA, etc.).
· OSHA 30 certification.
· Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater treatment systems.
