Intern – Commercial Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Interns to join our team at Pizzano Contractors, a full-service commercial contractor. This internship provides exposure to preconstruction, estimating, project management, and field operations. Based on their interests and career goals, interns will be assigned to one or more focus areas while also gaining broad exposure to the overall construction process.

Responsibilities

Depending on assignment and interest, interns will gain experience in areas such as:

• Preconstruction & Estimating
• Assist with quantity take-offs, subcontractor outreach, and proposal preparation.
• Support cost estimating, constructability reviews, and value engineering efforts.
• Project Management
• Help track project schedules, budgets, RFIs, and submittals.
• Assist with documentation and communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team.
• Field Operations
• Shadow superintendents and field staff to learn daily jobsite management.
• Support site documentation, safety observations, and quality control reporting.
  

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with construction software is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn, with the flexibility to adapt to different project needs.
