Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Baker / Dough Maker to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for mixing, shaping, and storing all of our pizza doughs. You will also be responsible for making breads, focaccia, and deserts like cookies and bomboloni. You must have experienced with spiral mixers, mixing bread dough, and understanding fermentation with poolish and natural fermentation. Your expertise in dough preparation, baking techniques, and food safety will contribute to delivering delicious treats that delight our customers. Duties
- Prepare and mix doughs for a variety of applications, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and pastry tools efficiently and safely
- Experience with sourdough, poolish, biga, artisan bread doughs, focaccia, roman pizza, artisan pizza.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following food safety protocols and sanitation procedures
- Assist in food preparation tasks including measuring ingredients, portioning dough, storing dough.
- Support high-volume production needs by working quickly while maintaining attention to detail during busy periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience in baking, pastry preparation, or food production within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with dough preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Catering experience or high-volume production background is a plus
- Passion for culinary arts with an eye for detail in cake decorating and presentation
