Infusion Nurse

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with a focus on infusion therapies, patient care, and critical thinking. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.

Duties

• Administer IV infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Assist in triaging patients based on their clinical needs.
• Utilize EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner for efficient patient management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in IV insertion, medication administration, and patient care in various settings such as acute care, long-term care, or outpatient facilities.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
• Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with cardiac catheterization, dialysis, or trauma medicine is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, or behavioral health is a plus.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient management.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized care (e.g., memory care, Alzheimer’s care).
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships with patients and their families. Pay: $62,400.00 - $91,600.00 per year
