A well-established law firm is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its Wilmington, Delaware office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build or expand a career in workers' compensation law while managing a meaningful caseload and representing clients throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Delaware, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to effectively manage multiple cases and hearings. Attorneys with as little as six months of workers' compensation experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a workers' compensation caseload from inception through resolution
- Represent clients at hearings, conferences, depositions, and other legal proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and legal filings
- Evaluate claims, analyze case strategy, and provide legal guidance
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with applicable deadlines
- Handle a high volume of matters while delivering outstanding client service
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from a fully accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with a State Bar Association
- Licensed to practice law in Delaware or eligible for admission
- Ability to effectively manage a high-volume caseload and hearing schedule
- Previous workers' compensation experience preferred (as little as six months considered)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
