Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and engaging Pre-Algebra Teacher to inspire students and build a strong mathematical foundation that prepares them for Algebra I and higher-level mathematics. Essential ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging Pre-Algebra lessons aligned with state and school standards.
Teach core concepts including integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, expressions, equations, inequalities, functions, geometry, statistics, and introductory probability.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Utilize technology, manipulatives, and real-world applications to enhance learning.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
Maintain accurate grades, attendance, and student records.
Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student achievement.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
Strong knowledge of Pre-Algebra and middle school mathematics standards.
Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred
Master's degree in Education or Mathematics.
Previous experience teaching middle school mathematics.
Experience integrating educational technology into instruction.
