Velvet by Graham & Spencer is seeking a full-time Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day execution of our brand presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
This is a high-energy, execution-driven role designed for someone who loves the "doing"—from filming transitions to managing calendars and engaging with our community in real-time. We are looking for a candidate with a refined aesthetic who understands the Velvet "vibe." While the initial focus is on flawless execution, there is a clear growth path toward brand strategy for a candidate who demonstrates consistency, creative taste, and a deep understanding of our voice.
Core ResponsibilityYou will be the heartbeat of Velvet’s social media, ensuring our digital presence is as elevated and seamless as our collections. You will work cross-functionally to bridge the gap between our creative studio, eCommerce platform, and physical retail stores.
What You’ll Be Responsible ForContent Execution
- Daily Management: Create, edit, and post original content across all primary platforms.
- Calendar Ownership: Build and maintain a consistent, organized content calendar.
- Asset Repurposing: Take raw assets from shoots and repurpose them into platform-specific content (e.g., turning BTS footage into high-performing Reels/TikToks).
Cross-Team Coordination
- Creative: Sync with the photo and design teams to request specific assets or provide feedback on what’s trending.
- eCommerce: Ensure social posts align perfectly with website launches, product restocks, and digital promotions.
- Retail: Highlight our in-store experience and local initiatives to drive physical foot traffic.
Community Management
- Act as the voice of Velvet in DMs and comments, maintaining a professional yet approachable tone.
- Monitor brand mentions and foster a positive, engaged community.
Performance & Optimization
- Track key metrics (engagement, reach, growth) and provide weekly summaries.
- Pivot execution based on what the data tells us is working.
As you master the execution and prove your alignment with the brand’s aesthetic, this role will evolve to include:
- Leading campaign concepting and visual direction.
- Proposing long-term brand storytelling initiatives.
- Influencing broader marketing and influencer strategies.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field).
- Location: Must be based in Los Angeles and comfortable working in an in-person office environment.
- Technical Skill: Proficiency in video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.) and social scheduling tools.
- Aesthetic Eye: A strong portfolio or social feed demonstrating an understanding of elevated, contemporary fashion branding.
- Daily: Respond to the community, post scheduled content, and capture "low-fi" in-house content.
- Weekly: Build the upcoming calendar, sync with the eCommerce and Creative teams, and review weekly analytics.
- Monthly: Plan for major product drops, propose new content formats, and present monthly growth reports.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
