Our full-time staff work with no regular overnight call and are off two out of three weekends.
Our firm, in business since 1907 and proud to remain family owned and operated, serves approximately 500 families a year between our two Charlottesville area chapels.
Responsibilities will include: assisting with daytime transfers, waiting on families, assisting with the preparation and presentation of the deceased, providing direction to staff on funerals, etc. Qualified applicants must also be able to manage working with multiple families at a given time, and work independently or as part of a team as needed.
A valid Virginia Funeral Service Provider License or Virginia Funeral Director’s License (other states’ licenses considered if transferable to Va.), a valid Driver’s License, and English language skills are required. Licensed individuals, including recent graduates of Mortuary programs, of all experience levels, are encouraged to apply.Benefits OfferedCompensation will be considered based on experience and qualifications.
