  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or maintenance planning experience
  • Experience with SAP PM or comparable CMMS
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and continuously improving maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, optimize maintenance resources, and support safe production operations. The Planner develops complete work packages, maintains SAP data integrity, coordinates labor and materials, and drives maintenance planning best practices.

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop detailed work packages
  • Estimate labor hours
  • Estimate required crafts
  • Identify tools and materials
  • Develop weekly schedules
  • Maintain 12–15week forecast
  • Coordinate outages
  • Balance labor resources

SAP

  • Maintain equipment master data
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance task lists
  • Create standard job plans
  • Review of work history
  • Close work orders
  • Maintain backlog
  • Ensure SAP accuracy

Reliability

  • Analyze repeat failures
  • Support RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis)
  • Support FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • Optimize Preventive Maintenance frequencies
  • Support predictive maintenance
  • Reduce emergency work

Inventory

  • Coordinate parts staging
  • Identify critical spares
  • Coordinate purchasing
  • Verify parts availability

Communication

  • Lead weekly planning meetings
  • Compile and report out maintenance completion and big issues
  • Attend production meetings
  • Communicate schedule changes

Safety

  • Verify LOTO (lock out tag out) requirements
  • Coordinate permits
  • Support safe work practices
  • Participate in safety initiatives
  • DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY: Define the limits of authority and decision making, e.g., ability to hire employees, authorizing budget, etc.

Prioritize maintenance work, develop and adjust schedules, recommend PM improvements, coordinate contractor activities, recommend spare parts, and escalate critical reliability issues.

    • WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, and access industrial equipment.
