Area Planner

Location: Mansfield, OH

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for an Area Planner at its Mansfield, Ohio facility. This role is responsible for maintaining inventory records of spare part inventories; expedite the procurement and/or repair processes for parts required to maintain or repair machinery and equipment.

Summary Of Responsibilities

• Evaluates part requirement for emergency repair or maintenance operations
• Maintain parts file for department records and replacement spare parts; establish stocking levels of spare parts
• Maintains mechanical drawing files
• Maintains computerized preventive / predictive maintenance program
• Responsible for preventive and predictive maintenance orders and receiving purchase orders
• Conduct safety and quality audit / observations / inspections within the department to detect existing or potential accident hazards, or quality defects.
• Assist in the development, review, and update of JSHA’s (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazards
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree or equivalent education
• Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge
• Ability to process a high volume of work in a timely manner
• Requires willingness and ability to work various hours, weekends and independently
• Excellent computer, communication, initiative, organizational, analytical and customer service skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in steelmaking or metals manufacturing.
• Experience in a union environment.
