What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHS Head Boys Basketball Coach position at Pittsburg High School - PHS?
This position is for head boys basketball coach at Pittsburg High School. The duties include, but are not limited to:
*Administer all facets of an interscholastic boys basketball program.
*Oversee and mentor assistant coaches.
*Assist AD with creation of a competitive schedule each season.
*Recruit, train, retain student-athletes for the boys basketball program.
*Monitor academics and attendance on a regular basis.
*Create and maintain adequate and up to date inventory list of equipment and gear and turn into AD at beginning and end of each season.
*Attend and supervise athletes and coaches at all practices, team events, and competitions.
*Adhere to all PHS, USD 250, SEK League, KSHSAA, and NFHS policies and rules.
*Maintain current CPR/1st Aid/AED certifications.
*Organize and coordinate summer youth and team camp.
*Other duties as assigned.
