Job Summary

Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and special education needs.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and incorporate innovative learning technology to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate remote or hybrid instruction when needed.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques, creating a positive and inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and informal evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Provide individualized tutoring and academic advising to support students with diverse learning styles, including those with autism or special education requirements.
- Develop creative writing exercises and proofreading activities to bolster literacy skills while fostering self-expression among students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to develop curriculum development initiatives that promote childhood development and early childhood education principles.
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience with a strong background in teaching children of various ages; preschool experience or early childhood education certification preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for effective instruction delivery.
- Knowledge of literacy education, math instruction techniques, behavior management strategies, and childhood development milestones.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or special needs; familiarity with Montessori or other alternative educational approaches is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues; ability to provide clear instructions and constructive feedback.
