What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Project Manager position at PISTOLA Denim?
About Us:
Founded in 2013 by Grace Na, Pistola is a Los Angeles-based brand built on luxury-level construction and a street-smart, utilitarian sensibility. As part of KNG (Pistola and Daze), we create premium, functional pieces designed to work as hard as the women who wear them. Our identity is rooted in a decade of evolution, consistently prioritizing quality and ease in every silhouette.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Digital Project Manager to lead the execution of our e-commerce and digital product initiatives. In the fast-moving fashion retail space, our digital storefront is our most vital asset. You will be the bridge between creative, merchandising, marketing, and development teams, ensuring that everything from major platform upgrades and seasonal campaign launches to UX/UI enhancements are delivered flawlessly, on time, and within budget.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the technical backbone of modern e-commerce websites, and possesses the communication skills to keep cross-functional teams aligned and motivated.
What You’ll Do:
- Scope, plan, track, and manage digital projects from initial concept through deployment and post-launch optimization.
- Act as the central hub connecting e-commerce merchants, creative designers, copywriters, digital marketers, and software engineers/web developers.
- Oversee front-end and back-end updates on our e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud), including third-party integrations, payment gateways, and apps.
- Build realistic project timelines (using tools like Jira, Asana, or Monday.com), manage day-to-day resource allocation, and proactively remove blockers.
- Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives for the development team, translating business requirements into clear, actionable technical tickets.
- Coordinate thorough user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance to ensure bug-free deployments that maintain a premium user experience.
Who You Are:
- 3-5 years of digital project management experience, specifically within e-commerce, retail, or a fashion/apparel brand.
- Solid familiarity with enterprise e-commerce infrastructure (Shopify Plus, Magento, or SFCC) and modern content management systems (CMS).
- Proficient in both Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Expert-level mastery of project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Asana) and collaboration software.
- You don’t need to code, but you must be able to confidently talk shop with developers (understanding concepts like APIs, HTML/CSS, and web performance tracking).
- A sharp eye for design consistency and a deep empathy for the fashion consumer’s digital journey.
