Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Shipping Technician to support procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations at our North Carolina API manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing:
- Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, lab supplies, and MRO items
- Coordinate with vendors and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain records in ERP/MRP systems
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points
Shipping & Logistics:
- Prepare domestic and international shipments
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations
- Generate shipping documentation (BOL, invoices, COAs, SDS)
- Coordinate with carriers and track shipments
Inventory & Compliance:
- Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Ensure cGMP-compliant storage and handling
- Maintain logs for audit readiness
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of purchasing/shipping experience in pharma or chemical industry
- Experience with manual and electronic systems (paper or Excel, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping (DOT/IATA)
- Familiarity with cGMP environments
