This role ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including production floors, breakrooms, and high-traffic areas.

Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in manufacturing areas, offices, restrooms, and common spaces. This role ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including production floors, breakrooms, and high-traffic areas.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production areas, offices, hallways, and breakrooms.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, workstations, furniture, and equipment as needed.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to company guidelines.
- Clean restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, and supply restocking.
- Remove debris, scrap materials, and dust from production areas.
- Clean around machinery and equipment following safety guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness of walkways, staging areas, and high-traffic zones.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and high surfaces as assigned.
- Wash and sanitize breakrooms, kitchenettes, and shared appliances.
- Follow proper chemical usage, dilution, and SDS safety requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE (gloves, glasses, safety shoes, etc.).
- Report maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, or supply shortages to the Supervisor.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and tools are stored safely and organized.
- Support facility safety initiatives by keeping floors clear of hazards and ensuring areas remain clean.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities cleaning experience preferred, especially in manufacturing environments
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings and background checks
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods (8 hours)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. independently
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials required
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to tolerate noise, heat, and dust in a manufacturing environment
- Visual acuity to read measuring tools, drawings, and detect quality defects
- Must pass initial and ongoing physical or occupational health screenings (e.g., lifting assessment, vision test, hearing test, etc.)
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection
