What are the responsibilities and job description for the Point of Sale Restaurant Technician position at Piper Tech?
Recruiting for a seasoned technician in the Fayetteville area. This region has approximately 40 services calls a month with 1-2 hours average on-site times.
Key Responsibilities
- POS Hardware Installation & Service
- Install, service, and replace POS terminals, registers, peripherals, and accessories
Troubleshoot and replace:
- Receipt printers
- Cash drawers & interface cables
- Kitchen Display Systems (KDS)
- Payment terminals/pin pads
- UPS/power backup devices
- Perform hardware diagnostics, part swaps, and device replacements
- Validate site hardware, power, cabling types, and compatibility
Low-Voltage & Network Work
- Pull, terminate, and test CAT5/CAT6 cabling
- Maintain clean cable management and remove old/decommissioned cable cables
Operational Responsibilities
- Image/configure devices when needed
- Coordinate with logistics for parts staging and pickup
- Complete all required service documentation and ticket updates
- Communicate clearly with store teams, project managers, Support Team and dispatch
- Ensure all installations meet company quality and safety expectations
