The Opportunity
As a Solar Project Engineer, you'll support the engineering and execution of commercial and industrial solar and energy storage projects from design through construction and commissioning. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple disciplines while helping bring renewable energy projects to life.
Responsibilities
- Support the engineering and technical execution of commercial and industrial solar PV and battery storage projects.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, utilities, and project stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Review electrical and civil engineering designs to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
- Assist with permitting, interconnection, procurement, scheduling, and commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support during construction, including field visits, issue resolution, and project closeout.
- Help manage project documentation, budgets, schedules, and engineering deliverables.
- Collaborate with development, finance, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- Experience delivering solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), or renewable energy projects.
- Understanding of engineering design, construction processes, and project management principles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- EIT or PE license is beneficial but not required.
