Senior Manager, M&A Accounting
We are seeking an experienced accounting and M&A professional to join a growing renewable energy platform.
This high-profile individual contributor role will lead accounting and integration activities for acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions across a rapidly expanding portfolio of solar and energy storage assets. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, external advisors, auditors, and cross-functional project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead accounting integration activities for acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
- Review due diligence and Virtual Data Room (VDR) materials, identifying key accounting, tax, and financial risks.
- Oversee Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), fair value assessments, and transaction accounting.
- Review and support consolidation activities, equity movements, and cash flow reporting.
- Serve as a technical expert on renewable energy accounting, including: Tax equity partnerships, Investment Tax Credits (ITC), Production Tax Credits (PTC), Net Operating Losses (NOLs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Partner with external auditors, valuation specialists, and transaction advisors.
- Support financial reporting under both IFRS and US GAAP.
- Drive reporting improvements and dashboard development using consolidation and reporting tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 6 years of accounting, audit, transaction services, or financial reporting experience.
- Strong consolidation and technical accounting expertise.
- Hands-on experience with M&A accounting and acquisition integration.
- Deep knowledge of tax partnership accounting, including ITC and PTC structures.
- Experience with both IFRS and US GAAP reporting.
- Renewable energy experience, ideally within solar and energy storage.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- Big Four audit or transaction advisory background.
- IFRS 3 purchase accounting and PPA experience.
- Oracle SmartView, Oracle Consolidation, or SAP FI/CO.
- Experience working with tax equity structures and renewable project acquisitions.
- CPA preferred (or actively pursuing).
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
