We’re hiring an Operations and Maintenance Technician to lead field activities across solar sites. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in solar systems who thrives in troubleshooting, maintaining efficiency, and guiding a team to deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality renewable energy operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Monitor equipment operations to ensure efficiency and safety across solar sites.
- Obtain supplier quotes and labor estimates to support project planning and execution.
- Communicate project requirements and updates clearly with site leads, office staff, vendors, and contractors.
- Lead a team of up to 5 technicians, providing guidance and oversight.
- De-energize and troubleshoot solar sites to resolve technical issues.
- Perform corrective maintenance to keep systems operating at peak performance.
- Commission utility-scale sites to bring new projects online.
- Conduct ground fault analysis to identify and resolve electrical issues.
- Certify team members on skills they have mastered to ensure consistent quality and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong technical expertise in solar operations and maintenance.
- Leadership experience managing small technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in dynamic field environments.
