Overview:
The Manager of Electrical Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of all medium- and high-voltage electrical assets across the EGPNA O&M fleet. This role ensures optimal performance, safety, and availability of generation assets through strategic planning, proactive maintenance, and effective execution.
The Manager will lead a team of skilled engineers and technical specialists, driving excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance programs. This position reports directly to the Head of Cross Technical Services and plays a key role in supporting the company’s mission to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable energy generation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage maintenance programs for all MV/HV electrical systems across multiple operating sites.
- Develop and oversee operational and capital budgets, ensuring projects and repairs are delivered efficiently and within financial goals.
- Supervise onsite and remote electrical operations, ensuring consistent application of maintenance standards and safety practices.
- Provide expert guidance on electrical codes, standards, and best practices (including national and international compliance frameworks).
- Create and refine procedures and workflows that promote safe, consistent, and efficient operation of electrical systems.
- Partner with internal teams—such as engineering, construction, and asset management—to support new projects and optimize existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with the Safety and Compliance function to maintain adherence to company and regulatory requirements.
- Work with planning teams to define long-term maintenance strategies, major equipment overhauls, and third-party service contracts.
- Establish regional maintenance priorities, performance targets, and progress reports for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement upgrades, system improvements, and reliability initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and asset value.
- Maintain compliance with reliability and operational standards for electrical systems and act as the internal subject-matter expert on regulatory requirements.
- Oversee inventory, spare parts, and equipment optimization to support continuous operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or Power Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Master's degree in engineering will count towards years of experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical high voltage maintenance
- Minimum of 3 years managing electrical engineers or technicians, electrical power plants electrical maintenance, and CapEx electrical projects.
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
