Director of Project Finance
Compensation: $200,000-225,000 bonus
Location: Boulder, Colorado
Piper Maddox is partnered with a growing energy storage platform focused on developing, owning, and operating utility-scale battery storage projects across the U.S. With over $1.5 billion in developed assets and relationships with leading institutional investors, the business has built a strong platform and continues to expand its portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for a project finance professional to join a lean team and take ownership of financing transactions and M&A activity across a growing portfolio. Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll be involved in structuring deals, managing counterparties, and driving transactions through to close, with the opportunity to make a real impact on the business as it continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project financing transactions from structuring and modeling through diligence, negotiation, and financial close.
- Execute M&A transactions, including financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, and deal execution.
- Build and analyze financial models to assess project economics, capital structures, and investment opportunities.
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and transaction counterparties.
- Work closely with senior leadership and internal teams to drive financing and M&A processes forward.
- Identify opportunities to optimize capital structures and support the growth of the project portfolio.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in project finance, ideally within renewables, battery storage, power, or infrastructure.
- Experience executing financing transactions and/or M&A deals from start to close.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable managing lenders, investors, and external advisors throughout transactions.
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to take ownership in a lean team environment.
- Commercially minded and excited to help grow an established energy storage platform.
Salary : $200,000 - $225,000
