What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Piper Maddox?
Piper Maddox have been engaged on a Senior Accountant opportunity, you’ll work closely with our Director of Accounting and Controller, taking ownership of critical accounting functions while helping improve processes as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the transition from historical C-Corp sales tax accounts to LLCs, including all related filings, paperwork, and state outreach
- Improving Customer A/R collections, including customer outreach and process refinement
- Supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, AP, AR, and other core accounting operations
- Collaborating closely with the Director of Accounting & Controller on various strategic and ad-hoc projects
Experience required
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Experience in account reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close
- NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred
- A proactive, “good human,” team-first attitude — willing to pitch in wherever needed as we grow
