- Plan, coordinate, and implement enterprise-level information security across network environments.
- Design optimized firewall and intrusion prevention system (IPS) rule structures and ensure adherence to security standards.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of firewall and IPS systems, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Research, evaluate, design, test, and implement new network security technologies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including security procedures and complex network schematics.
- Provide support and guidance to network engineering teams on security best practices.
- Analyze technical and business requirements to determine efficient and secure solutions.
- Support secure network design including VPNs and advanced routing protocols.
- 10 years of IT experience (internships, capstones, and additional experience may be considered toward total experience).
- Active Top Secret clearance required (SCI eligibility required).
- Strong hands-on experience with at least 3–4 of the following technologies:
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) (upgrade, licensing, deployment)
- Cisco Firepower (maintenance, upgrade, deployment)
- Cisco ASA to Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) migrations
- Cisco 802.1X deployments
- DMVPN design and deployment (CNSSP-15 compliant)
- Juniper ADVPN
- Strong understanding of routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Experience designing and maintaining secure enterprise network infrastructures.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience or certifications may substitute.
- CCNP Security or CCNP Enterprise certifications strongly preferred; CCDP preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to operate independently in a secure environment.
- Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000
