Technical Customer Success Specialist

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Customer Success Specialist to support a leading organization in the networking and technology space. This is a hybrid opportunity located in the RTP (Research Triangle Park), NC area, offering an initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension. The Technical Customer Success Specialist will work directly with customers throughout onboarding, implementation, and platform adoption efforts, serving as a trusted technical partner to ensure a smooth and successful deployment experience.

Responsibilities of the Technical Customer Success Specialist include:

• Partner with customer IT and infrastructure teams to lead onboarding, implementation, and activation efforts.
• Assist with deploying and configuring virtual machine-based collectors, integrations, and telemetry solutions within customer environments.
• Provide guidance around networking and connectivity requirements, including IP addressing, DNS, firewall policies, credentials, and system access.
• Support API integrations, cloud-based implementations, platform migrations, and customer adoption initiatives.
• Troubleshoot technical onboarding issues, coordinate resolutions, and collaborate with internal engineering and support teams when escalations are needed.
  
  

Qualifications for the Technical Customer Success Specialist include:

• 2 years of experience in customer success, technical support, implementation, onboarding, networking, or a related technical role.
• Foundational networking knowledge including TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, firewalls, SSH, SNMP, and virtualized environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including vulnerability management, CVEs, software hardening, and end-of-life/end-of-support considerations.
• Strong communication skills with experience explaining technical concepts to customers, conducting demos, training users, or leading implementation meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, or comparable technical experience.
  
  

Compensation for the Technical Customer Success Specialist:

• $28-$35/hr
