Sr. System Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. System Analyst to support core administration systems within the insurance industry. The Sr. System Analyst role is ideal for an experienced systems professional with strong insurance knowledge and expertise in analyzing system behavior to identify root causes and support solution delivery. The Sr. System Analyst role requires you to sit on site 3 days per week in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities of the Sr. System Analyst:

• Analyze system behavior across policy administration and related platforms to identify and document root causes.
• Perform end‑to‑end transaction analysis and communicate findings to development teams.
• Conduct requirement analysis for insurance product changes, particularly annuity and life products.
• Collaborate with vendors to determine required updates and support system design activities.
• Analyze data feeds and resolve data issues impacting system performance.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for production issues and system inquiries.
• Perform defect analysis, propose enhancements, and support functional testing.
• Create process flows, SOPs, training materials, and maintain high‑quality system documentation.
  
  

Requirements of the Sr. System Analyst:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (required).
• 5 years of system analysis or business systems analysis experience.
• Insurance background required; annuity and life experience preferred.
• Experience with Policy Administration Systems (FAST strongly preferred).
• Ability to analyze system behavior without performing coding or configuration changes.
  
  

Compensation for the Sr. System Analyst:

• $100,000 - $120,000
