Environmental Test Technician Supervisor

Piper Companies is seeking an Environmental Test Technician Supervisor to join a technology company located in Midland, TX through an onsite, permanent position. The Environmental Test Technician Supervisor will focus primarily on leading daily operations of the environmental test team, overseeing technicians conducting thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, acoustic, and related qualification and acceptance testing.

Responsibilities of the Environmental Test Technician Supervisor include:

• Direct daily environmental testing operations, including thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and acoustic testing
• Plan and prioritize schedules to meet milestones, deadlines, and shifting program needs
• Allocate tasks and manage technician workloads to maximize efficiency and resource use
• Develop, maintain, and train staff on test procedures, SOPs, and quality documentation
• Monitor performance metrics, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions for test anomalies
• Ensure regulatory compliance, support team development and hiring, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive successful test execution
  
  

Qualifications for the Environmental Test Technician Supervisor include:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of environmental testing experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or similar high-reliability industries, including 1-3 years of leadership experience
• Solid knowledge of environmental test equipment, instrumentation, and metrology, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and technical documentation
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, thrive in fast-paced environments, and drive continuous improvement with attention to detail
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, as well as familiarity with test data systems, documentation control systems, and quality management tools
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds and sit/stand for extended periods of time; must also be flexible with working long hours/some weekend days
  
  

Compensation for the Environmental Test Technician Supervisor includes:

• Salary Range: $100,000-120,000/annually, negotiable depending on experience
