Director of Software Development
to join a leading
healthcare
organization in the
Greater Baltimore area
. This
fulltime

role reports directly to the CTO.
This Director will lead software engineering, managing both modern .NET applications and PowerBuilder legacy systems while driving a strategic modernization roadmap.
Responsibilities of the Director of Software Development Include:
- Provide vision and leadership for development teams; align initiatives with business goals.
- Oversee .NET and PowerBuilder projects, balancing legacy support with digital transformation.
- Build and mentor high-performing teams; foster innovation and accountability.
- Manage project delivery, KPIs, and stakeholder communication.
- Guide architecture, enforce coding standards, and lead modernization efforts.
- Collaborate across QA, DevOps, Security, and business units.
Qualifications of the Director of Software Development Include:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10 years in software development, 5 in leadership.
- Expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core) and working knowledge of PowerBuilder.
- Experience with SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD, and modernization projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: Azure/AWS experience, SaaS/HRTech background, PMP/CSM certifications.
Compensation of the Director of Software Development Includes:
- Salary Range: $180, $220,000.00 per year, based on experience and certifications
- 15% annual bonus eligibility
