Responsibilities of the Director of Business Development include:
- Drive business growth by securing new partnerships with biotech and pharma clients.
- Focus on high-value accounts with deal sizes ranging from $2M to $10M, with potential for $30M–$40M global programs.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sales strategy with operational capabilities.
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
- 5–10 years of experience in sales within the CRO (Contract Research Organization) industry.
- Proven track record of closing large-scale clinical trial deals.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic areas including oncology, immunology, and neurology.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- This role is open to candidates based in major biotech and pharma hubs, including Boston, MA, San Francisco, CA, San Diego, CA, Research Triangle Park, NC, Chicago, IL, and remote locations across the U.S. with relevant industry experience.
- Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000/year (USD) commission
