As our fiber division continues to expand nationwide, we’re looking for skilled HDD Operator / Locator combo professionals who can run the drill and track the bore with precision.

What You’ll Do:
- Operate Vermeer 20x22 horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs for fiber and conduit installation.
- Perform locating using Falcon F2 systems (or comparable equipment).
- Maintain accurate bore path alignment (depth, pitch, and direction).
- Read and interpret bore plans, blueprints, and job specifications.
- Communicate continuously with crew members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain detailed bore logs and daily production records.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure full compliance with 811 regulations and safety standards.
- Support job site setup and breakdown as needed.
You are both the driver and the navigator. Precision and communication are non-negotiable.
- Company-paid housing while on assignment.
- Meal per diem provided.
- Structured 3/1 or 4/1 rotation (3 weeks on, 1 week off OR 4 weeks on, 1 week off).
- Paid travel to and from job sites.

What You Bring:
- Minimum 1 year hands-on experience in BOTH HDD operation and locating – REQUIRED.
- Experience with Vermeer 20x22 drills preferred.
- Experience with Falcon F2 locating systems preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret bore plans and technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills — coordination between operator and locator is critical.
- CDL preferred (not required, but highly valued).
- Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs., bending, kneeling, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel full time.
