What are the responsibilities and job description for the Record Copy Serv/Release position at Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District?
Responsible for processing correspondence request releases which includes gathering information and verifying accuracy to prepare for copying service
Notifies copying services when records are ready for copying
Responsible for sorting all reports in terminal digit order and inserting into correct inpatient and/or outpatient record
Accurately files completed charts in permanent file using terminal digit order
Pulls records as requested from Medical Record Request pull list
Move and purges records from the storage areas as needed to make room for new charts
Assist in department telephone calls and walk in requests as back-up
Teamwork with other Health Information Technicians to lend assistance as needed
Other duties as assigned by Department Coordinator
