Pioneer Valley Regional School seeks an Athletic Director to lead a vibrant athletics program with a history of state championships and strong participation by student athletes.
The Athletic Director is a part-time, school-based leader responsible for the overall coordination and management of the school's athletic program. The Athletic Director works closely with the Principal to ensure the the athletic program reflects the values of the school, and operates in a safe, organized, and equitable manner.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's athletic program, including scheduling, transportation, and event coordination
- Ensure compliance with MIAA regulations and district policies
- Communicate clearly and consistently with coaches, students, and families regarding schedules, expectations, and program updates
- Support and supervise coaches, including hiring, onboarding, and evaluation in collaboration with the Principal
- Coordinate game day operations
- Monitor student eligibility in collaboration with school staff
- Support a positive and inclusive athletic culture that emphasizes sportsmanship
- Work with the Principal to address concerns, resolve conflicts, and respond to complex situations
- Assist with budget planning and oversight of athletic program expenses
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal
