We’re searching for a passionate, creative, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to join our team in a site-based role, supporting students across our classrooms and programs. Definition: Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Special Education Teacher provides instruction and educational services to students with identified disabilities. The teacher is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs that support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth in accordance with district goals, state standards, and legal requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Pioneer Union Special Education Teacher, you will: Create welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning environments where students feel seen, supported, and capable Deliver engaging, evidence-based instruction tailored to students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans in collaboration with families, staff, and service providers Work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and administrators as part of a strong team Use student data to guide instruction and celebrate growth (big and small!) Support students in building confidence, independence, and life skills Build positive relationships with families and our Berry Creek community
