Job Summary:
The leasing and billing specialist will be responsible for supporting leasing activities, resident and family relations, and accurate billing processes. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with seniors, provide excellent customer service, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Reports To:
The leasing and billing specialist reports to the Executive Director.
Supervision:
This role has no supervisory duties.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Welcome prospective residents and families and conduct community tours
- Explain residency agreements, services, and amenities clearly and professionally
- Process applications, residency agreements, and required documentation
- Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and community transitions
- Serve as a point of contact for resident and family inquiries in person, by phone and via email
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and referral partners
- Assist with monthly billing for housing and assisted living services
- Post payments and maintain accurate resident account records
- monitor accounts and assist with follow-up on balances
- address billing questions and help resolve discrepancies
- maintain organized resident files and billing documentation
- Ensure compliance with assisted living regulations, privacy standards, and company policies
- Maintain accurate data entry in community management systems
- Collaborate with care, dining and operations teams
- Provide administrative support to community leadership as needed
Competencies:
- Proven working experience in leasing, senior living, healthcare administration, or billing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach
- Proficiency with basic computer applications including Quickbooks, Excel, and Onesite
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Detail oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Education:
-High school diploma or equivalent
