Your mission
- Clean and disassemble fluid film bearings to prepare for refit
- Use grit blasting to achieve optimal surface preparation
- Set up and run spin casting equipment with discipline and care
- Apply molten babbitt using both static and spin casting methods
- Background working with foundry or casting room equipment and tools
- Fundamentals of ferrous vs. non‑ferrous materials
- TIG welding; general fabrication capabilities
- Acetylene torch operation
- Knowledge of furnaces and melting pots
- Overhead crane operation
- Experience following routings, drawings, and process sheets
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Independent work style with attention to process
- Work indoors in a hot-work casting foundry
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Regular stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, standing, and walking
- Capability to read, write, speak, hear, concentrate, and understand complex data
