Responsibilities
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and labor progress, assessing any complications and providing appropriate interventions during labor and delivery.
- Support women through the stages of labor, assist in birthing procedures, and collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and anesthesiologists to manage deliveries, including assisting with vaginal births or cesarean sections.
- Administer pain relief options, such as epidurals, IV medications, or other comfort measures, and assist with pain management during labor and delivery.
- Provide care to both mother and newborn immediately following delivery, including assessing recovery, promoting bonding, providing breastfeeding support, and educating parents about newborn care and recovery.
- IN Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- 1-2 years of experience in L&D or obstetric care
- Pay: $1,826.15 - $1,882.63 / week
