Position Summary
A Superintendent specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems is preferred. Responsible for the daily operations of a Commercial Construction site- from planning projects to overseeing their completion. Ensures projects are delivered successfully and on time. The Superintendent directly supervises Assistant Superintendents and other field staff, including work assignments, training, and development. Candidates must possess the technical knowledge, management experience, and leadership skills required to lead projects and project teams to success.
Essential Responsibilities
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification
- Emphasis for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required
- User skills inside the Microsoft Suite of tools is required
- Participate in preconstruction planning regarding project schedules and budgets.
- Work with the project team to develop a solid understanding of the project strategy and the commitments made to the Owner.
- Perform in-depth reviews of drawings and contract documents to become familiar with all details and requirements.
- Lead Foreman, Assistant Superintendents, and other field staff and deploy the project strategy; communicate expectations and direction regarding schedules, construction methods, policies and standards.
- Assist in planning and executing field activities and provide technical assistance as required.
- Supervise all job-site operations ensuring that the work is being done in accordance with the project strategy and construction documents, and that Subcontractor performance and quality of work meet Pioneer’s standards for customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate regular job site meetings to provide a forum for discussion of concerns and distribution of information.
- Resolve/diffuse issues using open communication with employees and management.
- Lead through example in all areas of safety and compliance; comprehend and administer a safety program that provides for a safe work environment and foster a culture that expects participation at all levels.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or
- 5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
