Duties
- Prepare and wash fresh vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients for salad preparation.
- Utilize proper knife skills to chop, slice, and dice ingredients efficiently.
- Assemble salads according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salad prep area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely preparation of salads for catering events or restaurant service.
- Stocks juices and maintains beverage station.
- Keep dining areas clean during service.
Skills
- Strong knife skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy kitchen environment.
- Previous experience in food service or the restaurant industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to salad preparation and presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding food safety and hygiene standards.
