Role Description
The Junior Estimator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL. The Junior Estimator will support the project team by preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and identifying cost-effective solutions for construction projects. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with project managers, calculating material and labor costs, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and assisting in bid preparation. The candidate will also interact with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and other relevant data.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze construction costs, read blueprints, and review project specifications.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work on-site in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
