Gas Turbine Hot Gas Path (HGP) Design Engineer – Analysis & Services
Role Overview:
Technical expert responsible for ensuring reliability and availability of gas turbine components using advanced analysis and data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-fidelity finite element analysis (FEA) under thermal and mechanical conditions
- Conduct life assessments: LCF/HCF, creep, oxidation, and fracture mechanics
- Execute dynamic analyses (modal, forced response) and develop Campbell diagrams
- Lead/support root cause analysis (RCA) and provide urgent field engineering support
- Communicate complex technical findings clearly for design reviews
Technical Skills:
- Must: ANSYS (Classic & FEA), NX, analytical tools, export control compliance
- Nice: Advanced Python
Requirements:
- B.S. in Mechanical/Aerospace (M.S. preferred)
- 4 years in design, FEA (ANSYS), and NX CAD
- Experience with RCA, GD&T, engineering drawings, stackups
- Familiarity with PLM/Teamcenter tools
- Strong communication and teamwork skills (global/service environment)
- Must be a US person (export-controlled materials)
