This is an entirely on-site position in Silver Spring Maryland.***This is a temporary to hire position*** Composing/distributing/securing New Hire Letter, New Hire forms (Direct Deposit Authorization Form, I-9 documentation, Criminal History Disclosure and Attestation Form, Employment Applicant Disclosure and Release Form, Disclosure Authorization for Consumer Background Check, Leisure World of Maryland Benefits Summary booklet, other forms as necessary and applicable)Oversees, maintains, and monitors organizational-wide performance appraisal programMonitor, evaluate and document training activities in the company.Maintain employee training records within HRISCompliance and Reporting · Under the direction of the Director Human Resources or HR Supervisor, ensures compliance and reporting with all federal, state and local laws pertaining to the HR function.Under the direction of the Director Human Resources or HR Supervisor, provides general administrative support in the administering of compensation programs.Responsible for the compliance and daily administration and coordination of programs related to employee safety, welfare, wellness and health including; unemployment benefits administration, COBRA, Incident/Accident/Disability record keeping and reporting, long term disability, FMLA and OSHA 300 reporting.Assist in the handling of logistics for training activities, including venues and equipmentResponsible for the compliance and daily administration of the insurance and retirement programs while ensuring compliance with related state and federal regulations.Administration of employment background investigation, inclusive of criminal history information reports, credit bureau report(s), motor vehicle report(s), social media report(s), a check of references, verification of previous work experience and confirmation of educational statusCoordinating and conducting New Hire HR OrientationEnrolling employees in the Time & Attendance SystemSecuring New Hire Benefit ElectionsCreate and maintain hard copy personnel fileOther human resources generalist duties as assignedThorough Knowledge of I-9 Documentation: Demonstrates compliance expertise and a strong understanding of employment eligibility verification processes.Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Approaches employee interactions with patience, politeness, and professionalism, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.Strong Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Maintains accurate records, manages multiple tasks efficiently, and ensures no detail is overlooked.Proactive Approach: Takes initiative, anticipates needs, and follows through without requiring constant direction.Analytical and Problem-Solving Mindset: Applies critical thinking to identify root causes of issues and recommends practical, data-driven solutions and process improvement.Highly Dependable: Trusted to consistently follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision.Strong Attendance and Punctuality Record: Demonstrates reliability and commitment by consistently being present and on time.Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish, able to communicate effectively in both languages; Spanish preferred enhanced communication in diverse environments.Must haves- 5 years experience as an HR generalist in a corporate settingThis position is on-site, five days a week.
