About the role:
The Human Resources professional at DCB supports the daily operations of our HR department, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, maintaining meticulous records, and serving as a key point of contact for staff HR inquiries. This position requires professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to supporting employees and school leadership with care and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries related to time, attendance, payroll, and workers’ compensation.
Partner with our finance team (EdOps) to process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.
Respond promptly to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
Complete employment verifications and maintain organized HR records.
Support HR compliance through volunteer application processing and background documentation management.
Translate HR policy and procedural documents from English to Spanish.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding, employee record updates, and HRIS maintenance.
Track attendance, PTO, and timesheets; prepare HR reports and data summaries.
Collaborate on recruitment, hiring, and HR-led training events.
Uphold confidentiality and represent the HR department with professionalism at all times.
Support special HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish (verbal and written communication).
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
Ability to handle sensitive information with diplomacy and discretion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HRIS systems, specially Paycom.
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred.
2 years of administrative or HR-related experience preferred.
SHRM-CP or SPHR certification is a plus.

- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 remote day.
