The company is among the country's largest family-owned furniture companies and a leading diversified global furniture manufacturer.
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving nationwide sales performance while overseeing the management of the company’s outdoor brand. This dual-role leader will develop and execute national sales strategies, manage sales to key accounts, and help lead a high-performing sales team while also assisting internal cross-functional teams to ensure the brand’s sustainable growth and market relevance.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong sales management expertise and proven general management capability.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Leadership (National Scope)
• Develop and execute national sales strategies for the outdoor category aligned with company growth objectives.
•Mentor and help develop a multi-regional sales team; establish KPIs and performance expectations.
•Help manage sales to key accounts, distributors, and channel partners to maximize revenue and market share for their outdoor division.
•Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.
•Build and manage annual sales budgets, forecasts, and territory plans.
•Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, and E-Commerce on product development, promotional programs, pricing initiatives, and demand-generation activities.
General Management & Brand Leadership
•Ensure revenue, gross margin, and profit targets are met or exceeded.
•Assist in developing brand strategy, positioning, and long-term growth.
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Merchandising, Operations, Product, Development, Supply Chain) to ensure brand alignment and operational excellence.
•Oversee product lifecycle planning, including new product launches and portfolio optimization.
•Monitor brand performance metrics and market dynamics to guide decision-making.
•Champion the brand internally and externally, acting as the primary brand steward and spokesperson as needed.
Operational & Strategic Responsibilities
•Support annual strategic planning and budgeting processes.
•Optimize sales processes, tools, and reporting systems to improve efficiency and visibility.
•Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
•Build strong internal communication across regions and departments to support coordinated execution.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
•5 years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in a mid-sized or growth-stage furniture company. Casual Furniture and Outdoor sales experience.
•Proven experience managing a brand or business unit with full or partial P&L responsibility.
•Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
•Ability to travel as required (50%) .
