Position Summary – Laser Programmer
Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal is currently seeking individuals who are experienced in CNC Laser/CNC Punch programming. This role is responsible for assuring the efficient operation of day-to-day Laser/Punch center tasks which include programming sheet metal, in-process checks of machined features, and timely communication of all concerns/issues.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Generate accurate CAD/CAM part drawing using controlled drawings specifications.
· Generate CNC nesting programs for sheet metal and tube to process CNC laser and punch cutting.
· Generate accurate CAD/CAM bend part data using controlled drawing specifications.
· Control and maintain CNC programs/bend data from the server to CNC machines/press brake machines.
· Monitor, document, and control any changes made to the CAD/CAM parts file, CNC programs, and bend parts data.
· Able to work from written instructions, detail engineering drawings, and 3D models for processing CAD/CAM sheet metal/tube parts and bend parts to support production.
· Create and maintain the part CAD/CAM manufacturing processes.
· Working knowledge of press brake tooling processes.
· Working knowledge to determine the manufacturing process of sheet metal parts and tube parts from the CAD/CAM holding stage to the finish parts.
· Read and understand blueprint (engineering) drawings.
· Able to read and follow written instructions and procedures.
· General and practical knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
· Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Generate work instructions for sheet metal processing.
· Ability to effectively manage and build relationships across departments.
· Ability to work extended hours on an as-needed basis.
· Other duties may be required and assigned at any time.
Qualifications
· 2-3 years’ experience of operating CNC sheet metal programming.
· Able to read and interpret detailed, engineered drawings.
· Able to use precision inspection tools to verify work.
· Work independently as well as promoting a team environment.
· Must be a US citizen and able to read & write in English.
