Position Summary – Deburr
Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal is looking for individuals who are experienced in Industrial Deburred/Detailer/Line Grain in a manufacturing setting. The individual uses their hands, fingers, and tools to clean, deburr, polish, and/or grind surfaces of precision machined metal products and parts.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Before starting work, review the work order and make sure that all prior processes are signed off and completed
- Select proper equipment according to work order specifications
- Deburr and hand finish parts as required by specifications by using established procedures, machines, and tooling.
- Smoothen edges and finish metal parts according to specs.
- Create the first part and bring it to your supervisor for approval
- Inspect finished parts for conformance to design & “Build To” requirements on documentation
- Work independently and keep a fast and steady pace
- Create the last part and bring it to your supervisor for approval
- Keep work areas clean
- Maintain basic time keeping and job records on computer database
- Notify supervisor if any tools, equipment or safety gear is damaged or inoperable
- Follows all safety rules and reports any safety concerns
- Ability to use a wide variety of basic deburr and hand finish tools, both electric and pneumatic such as (right angle grinder, orbital sanders and hand finish tools and equipment).
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
- Frequently perform work and inspection of precision parts.
- Perform rework assignments as required
- Ensure all parts paperwork and documentation are completed properly
- Enter all data as required
- Inspect finished work to required specification
- Must be able to stand for long periods
Qualifications
- 3 years’ prior experience manufacturing components within the Aerospace industry is desired.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, blueprints, work instructions and use standard machine shop tools.
- Knowledge of basic math
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. English proficiency is required.
- Ability to interact effectively with supervision, management and customer representatives.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated knowledge of workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
Work Environment
- This job operates on the floor of a manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands
- Stand continuously and lift objects up to 50lbs.
