Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Concrete General Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the crew responsible for supporting various concrete-related tasks on construction projects. Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and positioning of formwork and rebar according to blueprints and technical drawings
Operate concrete mixers, power tools, and hand tools safely and effectively to pour, spread, finish, and cure concrete surfaces
Support the installation of rebar reinforcement, ensuring proper placement and securement in accordance with project specifications
Help construct formwork for concrete structures using carpentry skills such as framing, trimming, and caulking
Perform heavy lifting tasks related to concrete materials, equipment, and supplies while adhering to safety regulations
Assist with concrete cutting, grinding, and finishing processes to achieve smooth surfaces as specified in project plans
Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members
Qualifications
Previous experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive role is highly preferred
Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction tools, power tools, schematics, and technical drawings
Knowledge of concrete pouring techniques, formwork construction, rebar installation, and finishing methods
Ability to interpret blueprints and construction plans accurately for effective task execution
Experience with heavy equipment operation or commercial driving is a plus but not required
Understanding of workplace safety regulations specific to construction sites is essential
Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, climbing scaffolding or ladders during work activities
Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in the construction industry
